My 170 Yeti Elegance will be 6 years old in October. Purchased in Aug 14 with 7k miles. Dealer service all the way. Now 54k miles. Love the Yeti. Can't find appropriate replacement nor could I easily afford to replace. My Yeti has remained 'unfixed' as far as emission farce is concerned, and will remain so. Plan for local Skoda dealer (I'm happy with their service) to replace cam belt, water pump, haldex oil. Unsure if brake fluid change is necessary as disks and pads were done 18 month's ago. Is brake fluid changed when this is done? Is there anything else I should consider getting done to cover the next 50k miles. Thanks in advance.

Brake fluid is not routinely replaced with pads and/or discs, but it can be.

Re- brake fluff change.

Check your invoice. I had all pads and discs changed recently, but brake fluid change was not included. Intend to do it in the next few months. Waiting to see if there is a joint brake fluid and air con offer as in previous years.

Cambelt is due every five years, and it’s sensible to do the water pump at the same time.  Haldex oil is due every three years.  Brake fluid is due at three years, and then every two years.  Discs and pads are due as required due to wear and/or corrosion.  If you have the DSG gearbox then the oil change for that is due every four years.  Aircon service is recommended every two years, and as Fin69 said is often offered as a ‘deal’ with brake fluid change.

Thanks all. Checked invoice and brake fluid has not been changed when disk and pads done so will see if I can get deal to include air con as well. I best crack on as looks like I've overlooked these impotant service items as all overdue.
