Fabia vRS boot release

Featured Replies

Hi people

Just wondered if anyone has had the problem of the rubber boot release button not working.

The key release button works but if i press the rubber button nothing happens at all. Any ideas what I can do?

Think it might have to be booked in for a fix :thumbdwn:

You may not have double un-locked the car? Sounds silly but catches me out...often!

If I dont use the fob to "pop" the boot I will always press the unlock botton that is in the car. Many a time I've look a prize plonker because I've failed G.C.S.E. get into boot

There is a boot unlock button inside the car?

Pray tell :)

nope not as such but the main lock/unlock switch will do it all

I think the original post is refering to the rubber release on the tailagte itself.

yeah definatlely all the doors unlocked. Checked fuses as a long shot but all fine so I think ill have to get skoda to look at it.

If the rear washer has been leaking the fluid can drop into the two pin connector for the handle, it corrodes out the connection and the handle stops working.

Cherck interior light is working. If it isn't check fuse. It's on the same circuit.

Interior light is working fine.

I think you could be right Lummox as i think the is a bit of a leak getting into the boot through the rear window/wiper area.

Should be just a microswitch replacment. Had same problem on similar system with wife's Micra due to water ingress.
