Vectis - where did you get your roof bars from please?

When did you order? 

 

Planning on ordering mine tomorrow... 

Dealer told me would be around a 12 week wait. So that probably means at least 16 weeks!

They are prorack whispbars. They are nearly 10 years old, just buy different foot packs to fit different cars. I'll send you a link when I get home.

I ordered on 27th Feb. Was originally told BW18 but quite quickly this moved to BW15. However, it's never been confirmed by Skoda themselves and my car has not been built this week after all. Dealer assured me I'll take delivery in May. Hope so!

I bought mine from roofbox.co.uk, I have the slightly longer S17 bars as I bought them for my Freelander 2 but bought another fitting kit to use on my Yeti and have had them on my Octavia and now Karoq, if you change car if they don't fit you can get another fitting kit foe about £40 and use the bars you previously bought. Hi Pryorkshire, what do you think of Velvet Red. I ordered mine back in October and collected it on Launch day in January. I have to say that I've been disappointed in it. If it's clean and standing in the sun, it looks good but living this far North of Watford, the sun doesn't shine that often and when it's dull it looks more like a solid colour rather than a metalic.. It is a different shade to Corrida Red, but I'm not sure it's £700 different.

My phone charges ok and doesn't get hot so I will wait and see.

I will check with the dealers when I pick the car up and see what they have to say.

Bowdie - I agree when the car is dirty the colour loses some of its depth but looks really good when clean and in the sun.  I'll just have to keep it washed regularly, with all the rain and flooded roads around Yorkshire it has got quite mud splattered recently.

 

I chose the red as I wanted a colour that would stand out in car parks among the sea of black and grey that seems to be the colour of choice around here, also it was only a £325 option on the Edition.

Style 2.0 TDI, 4x4 = Danish "Edition"

The colour has grown on me over the week since I took delivery.
