MY19

My dealer just informed me, that MY19 changes (DK) will consist off:

* Digital dashboard (optional)

*New colour, and another colour removed

*New engines (with GPF)

So all in all, not much.

Heard it will also offer as standard, the function which automatically stops the car if car in front stops or pedestrian walks out - is now standard on the Fabia and believe it’s being rolled out to all models.

(sorry can’t remember what it’s called)

Ooooh I wonder which shade of grey they will remove and which new shade of grey they will introduce.  Simply Boring.

  • I bet "dull grey" will be replaced with "boring grey"

  • It used to be a place for sharing knowledge, experience and seeking advices. Now it has gone into complaints over ‘nothing’, rejection of cars and lots of ‘negativity’ (not sure how that translates in

They already do boring grey, or ‘business grey’ as I spec’d on my Superb. I die a little every time I see another mk3 on the roads that looks better than mine! :D

Am amazed they haven’t released the specs for the MY19 Octy VRS given they start production in wk31 (9 weeks time).  Would have expected the order book re reopen by now

I do as well. But then I remind myself how easy darker colours shows scrathes, swirwels and dirt - and then I´m back to being happy, I went "Boring Business Grey". The design of the car is sharp enough to handle most "dull" colours ;)

Great looking car JR RS.

On looking more closely at your pictures I was surprised to see you have been doing donuts in the car park........... shocking :-)

Surely it was the Ute driver?!

Have to say I agree Tony, and I'm really hoping the photo is just some journo's photo-shopped guess. The photo angle of mine below is the closest I can find for comparison. Note how the new one looks (IMHO of course) less angular, less purposeful - almost comical with that "grin". If that really is the current planned look for the FL version I hope they will stick it next to an existing model and realise the error of their ways.

Agree looking more closely... There isn't even place for front fog lights, or perhaps they are redesigned like LED day lights turned upside down

They may be onto something with the back on the hatch version though. Apologies for the rubbish comparison shot, but the rear light arrangement and silver strip looks pretty decent to me.

If the new pics are correct then someone needs to shoot whoever is recruiting the Skoda designers.  The Octy FL is horrendous compared with the PFL (and yes i’ll be picking up my FL 245 in a weeks time!)  and the current superb front end is without doubt in my mind the best looking Skoda.  Will be committing commercial suicide if these pics are correct

my understanding was that MY19 was only getting interior bits & pieces updated, for example "active display", new GPF engines and DSG-7 Wet gearboxes.

in 2-3 months (after the factory resumes from their shutdown period) MY19 models will start rolling off the production lines.

it won't be until MY20 atleast before we see a Facelift version.

they'll reveal it next year.

the article is someone getting prematurely excited!!!

What’s your basis for that last statement?

Face lift will be shown in 2019 but it does not mean that will be delivered in 2019 reallity propably would be that  it will be shown in 2019 with orders in Jun propably with delivery afer september  2019 or 2020.

AID can be already ordered from what i understand but only for cars which start production in Week 20! this is confirmed with my dealer.

with the ame price list update there should be added GPF to Petrol engines.

At least in Poland we do not have this price list officialy given.

Personal view only based on knowing a number of people who’ve gone elsewhere (seat + Vw) as a result of the Octy FL, and seeing Octy sales down vs previous years.  Suspect same will happen with the superb if that latest pic is correct.

as i said - "it won't be until MY20 atleast before we see a Facelift version.  they'll reveal it next year."

meaning it could b MY20, or it could b MY20.5 or it could b MY21 for the FL Superb MK3.

didn't say they'll deliver the facelift production runs in 2019 ;)

My19 starts week 22, i.e. next week

If the facelift is as above, i.e. so minor that you hardly notice I think they will likely slip it in sometime in my19. No one will notice......:sleepy:

Wonder why you ever swapped your Allegro to a modern Skoda?!

But NO, MY19 is delayed this year due to GPF etc. So it’s not CW22.
