Tyre pressure on facelift VRS 19 inch Xtreme

Featured Replies

Hi all

What does everyone recommend for tyre pressure on 225/35/19 Pirelli P-Zero?

I've just had the dashboard warning light up.

Does Skoda recommend 34 psi?

Look in the Fuel Filler Flap for the recommended pressures.

Once you have checked and set all 4 tyres reset the TPMS.

If the warning light is on, have you checked for punctures?

I run mine at 32 PSI (pre facelift but won't be different, albeit mine is a 4x4 estate) and they've worn perfectly even. The ride was noticeably crashier at 38.

I've checked for punctures but this was earlier on the day.

I'll go and re-check now.

32 PSI (2,2bar) is too little I suppose for /35 sidewall? I am not sure if this pressure will protect a rim and wear the tire properly.

I keep my fronts at 2,7, rears 2,5, cold measured. By experimenting with the pressures reached this compromise. Warm air is raising the pressure around 0,2bar.

39psi all round with 1 up

44 psi all round 4 up lightly loaded

42F/46R Fully loaded to GVW. (Everyone in it with load space full to the roof + Roof box + 4 Bike carrier/trailer + Fully fuelled & dragging her sorry ass on the ground)

Yeah I run at 40psi to eliminate any chance of sidewall flex, hate steering delay of any kind

Does tend to keep the potholes away from your alloys too

same here, anything over 2.2 bar 32 psi is uncomfortable and harsh

As many different recommendations as there are replies...

Oh dear, thought this would happen - it usually does with these sort of threads.

@vrsage - load does make a difference to what pressure to use, although I must admit I rarely adjust mine for load. I don't often have more than 2 adults and 3 kids with a buggy etc in the boot though, so not fully laden very frequently.

Thanks everyone for your replies and advice :)

I ended up going by the recommended 39 psi as per the fuel cap.

I hit the "Set" button on the infotainment screen which then removed the dash warning light and cleared the messaging from the infotainment screen.

@pist0nbr0ke - likewise here with 2 adult and 2 kids being my  typical load.

@pist0nbr0ke

Blimey - having all that weight in the boot must really overload the rear tyres.

I must admit it is testament to the huge size of the boot that you can get so many (and buggy!) in the boot.

 ;)

Why do you think I soundproofed it?

Very good - I see what happened there!

Usually driven 1 up set at 2.7 bar all around gives good compromise between taught handling which I prefer and decent fuel economy because I nearly always drive in sport, don't mind the V8/lawnmower noise. Cold tyre pressures always.

Perhaps he works for the MAFIA hence the bodies in the boot!
