It'll be just fine.

I expect your current wheels are 5J width; 6J suits the 185 tyres better I think.

5.5J is standard steelies, I have a set with Uniroyal wets on.

I stand corrected, Wino is right, 185 is a bit wide for 5J, mine must be 6J then.

Yeah, 185 is slightly too wide for a 5J, giving a 68% rim to tread ratio, where the recommended minimum is 70%.
