New 245 missing Stuff...

Featured Replies

First post so go easy on us chaps/chapess.

Picked up my 245 Est yesterday, the the car is pretty smart and i'm well happy for the small amount of time i've had in it.

After having the dinnertime walk around the car i had a look under the boot floor and noticed no jack in the wheel well and is there supposed to be a little removable torch on the righthand side of thr boot .....,

Does anyone else have this (no jack)...?  Just wondering if its an option that i've not picked but should of...!!

Standard is no Spare Wheel or Jack, just a compressor and can of puncture gunk.

Optional Spare Wheel and Jack is £300+ from Dealer or £120 from sellers on EBay and the like so yep if you wanted one you should HAVE picked the option.

Lots of threads on here offer help choosing the correct Wheel to prevent clashing with the Brakes on the 245.

Never heard of the Torch, my 230 doesn't have one to my knowledge.

Yep, same as above. I specced the spare wheel. Mine has the removable torch on the right.

If the removeable torch is missing, and you purchased from Skoda Dealer (ie Approved Used / Brand New) just go back to the dealer and tell them it's missing - they should get you one sorted.  As for the wheel/jack combo - I do believe it's optional as has been stated above.

If there is a spare wheel in the boot, there should be jack and other little things included.

Was included in the spec of RS230 limited edition preFL, at least on our market. Found on the Google how it should look like:

Unfortunatly i didn't realise about this by not selecting the spare wheel option.... you'll have to get you good lady to lift the car up.....

Cheers peeps... Looks like Ebay seaarch is on the cards..

What size Steel wheel would be suitable then...??? 17" or 18"

I think it's a 19inch space saver, the 245 has 340mm front discs (I think) so your average space saver won't go over.

I was lucky, read this forum prior to completing my order and it was added for £100 extra.

Oh well, i'll have a look about the web tonight, cheers again.

I got mine from a scrappy, it is an 18" space saver, this fits the 340 brakes, then bought the foam insert with tools / jack from dealer.

I think my actual spare is from a Golf R32 but any performance Audi / VW / Seat / Skoda should have an 18 space saver.
