Phone Contacts Problems

Featured Replies

I know little about mobile phones but recently I noticed that not all my contacts were available, most of the ones I use a lot.

So I played around and reset the phone so it has no contacts and reconnected it to the car, after a factory reset.

Now I have 2 contacts, identical, both my name and phone number and it has put a - between the numbers, for example, 0191-123-4567

I notice on the phone in the Bluetooth setting it has paired devices and it lists

BTXXXX

earlier it also had message sharing listed twice as well.

It seems if I untick one of the contact sharing, then they both vanish.

Does anyone know what is going on, what I have messed up, and how to unmess it.

I did realise ages ago that the contacts I had all duplicated the mobile numbers in the contact, but at least I only had one person as the contact.

thanks

Can you explain what phone / operating system version are you using? Hopefully people with similar will then be able to advise :phone:
