Young idiots and Mk 1 Octavias

Featured Replies

Is it unique to our area or is it a national issue. There appears to be an ever increasing number of total muppets driving battered Mk 1 Octavia VRS models like total loonies. One tried forcing 3 of us off the road this afternoon, all you could see of him was the mirrored sunglasses just over the dash lip, he was either 5 years old or 4'6" tall. Perhaps a booster cushion would help.

You need to tell us the location, so we can avoid it.................................

I think it's just unfortunate that the rapscallion is in an Octavia vRS and not a Leon Cupra R/20v Turbo Mk4 Golf/Civic Type R, Focus ST etc; the usual suspects there. I guess they're cheap performance and perhaps more unusual than the typical "boy racer" vehicle at the moment so perhaps a little cheaper on the insurance front. I do feel sorry for the poor cars they're abusing and sod's law they work fine, unlike mine which is always warmed up/cooled down and yet still has a constant stream of (albeit usually minor) issues. :D

I'm fairly young myself but the one thing I will never understand is how these people drive with the seat back lowered so far they're almost lying whilst driving. There does seem to be a correlation between driving like a loon and being vertically challenged though...certainly down here in Exmouth. :D

Another part of the required driving position is that in addition to hiding as low down and lying as near horizontal as possible you must not sit centrally in your seat, instead you should push yourself hard against your door. Not sure where these rules come from - just the way it is.

Shame though if all the Mk1 VRS are going to be killed off in this way though.

Without prejudice, are baseball caps part of their uniform?

Don't look at me - Mine ain't a VRS.
