EGR location on facelift VRS model.

Featured Replies

Is the EGR valve on post facelift models in the same location as the CR170 Octavias from 2008? Had the EGR replaced on my 2008 and was informed that I was lucky as 'a different model VRS' has the EGR at the back of the engine and is a very expensive replacement due to getting to it. Sadly my Octy might be a write off and I was looking at facelift models. Any advice or things to watch out for?

Thanks

It's EGR not ERG ;)

I thought all CR engines (at least those in the FL MK2 Octavia) had the EGR fitted to the rear of the engine making it expensive to replace.

Earlier PD engines have the EGR on the front making it relatively easy to change.
