3.6 V6 4x4 DSG 2009. Steering wheel and alloys ?

Featured Replies

New too Skodas, coming from a Mk6 Golf. With the Skoda Superb will the Octavia VRS alloys fit on the supurb?

Also will the flat bottom steering wheel from the VRS fit on the supurb (obviously need too code if it fits)

Lastly, how difficult is it too put paddle shifters on the Supurb.

Any help appreciated as can't find much online about the supurb and most sites say the alloys are different fitments.

Coming from Volkswagen most stuff was pretty interchangeable across VAG

guessing and hoping Skoda (being part of VAG) is also the same

Thanks

I have put the 2005 Octy vega alloys on my Superb as winters.

So from standard 18 down to 16"

the Superb comes with 16/17/18 maybe 19 L&K.?  As factory wheels. I notice the offset is slightly different on my Octy vs Superb wheels.

Search forum for steering wheel and paddles - there are at least two threads - full of info, with part numbers :)

Wheels - anything 112 x 5 will fit - as long as width and ET is correct.

I notice you looking at 3.6 model maybe 4x4 is something to also factor. Some models, maybe this one have large brakes. Purely guessing that a new VRS has 17" minimum and maybe even 18" these days, so should be fine. However not many people owned one so please check carefully before buying wheels. My fuel cap gives the recommended sizes so maybe the 3.6 shows different or they all get the same sticker from factory.

These would look nice

I run 19's on mine (summer set) and have posted elsewhere on fitments and other things. A quick search will flag things for you.

ET is important (36-45 IIRC)  and yes, any 17/18/19 inch wheel will cover standard brakes. With larger alloys, be careful with tyre choice if the car is lowered a bit. Mine is down 30mm all round and lightly loaded there are no issues. Five up with the estate area full it can bottom out at speed on the motorway as it 'floats', and on full lock the outer tyre edge can rub on the inner wing (if that makes sense).

Enjoy the Superb - great cars for the money

I may be wrong, but I don't think there were MFSWs with the flat bottom and the green illumination ... the white illumination ones are the newer type, and won't work with your car ... BUT, what is possible is to get just the flat bottomed steering wheel and the button module, and then combine them ... but the cost of each individually would be really over the top ... or, buy a regular 13-15 MFSW for the Superb (to get the green illumination buttons which are compatible) and a newer type Octavia MFSW with the white illumination ... then you just swap the button modules, and can sell the round MFSW with the white illumination, to get at least some return on investment ... regarding the alloys, I don't think you can put anything smaller than 17" on the 3.6 front wheels due to the size of the brake calipers and brake discs (yes, they're huge) ...

OT: I've just noticed, this is my 200th post ... never intended to stick around so much ... :D
