Recommended independent - Oxfordshire

Anyone know a good independent garage for timing belt/water pump change in Oxfordshire. Anyone ever used these guys https://www.volkstechniks.co.uk

Sorry not an answer to your question, but I was wondering when to change the timing belt on 2.0 tdi MK3? The maintenance manual seems to suggest it is 4 years or 60k km but I was told by the dealer that it is 5 years or something above 10000 km or miles. Could anyone please confirm which is correct? My car has done 40k miles and will be 4 years old in few months.

I believe it's 140,000 miles / 5 years, whichever comes first. In my case it's 5 years.

Grey Gables Garage just outside Witney - Main Skoda dealer for over 25 years, now independant but fully equiped. Always received excellent service.

Good call. I have a couple of friends who use them, and they only have good things to say about the place.

I know them, they have been good to me before, but their prices are high, £575.00 for timing belt+ water pump change :speechless:

How about: http://www.jmillinandson.co.uk/

I have family and friends who use them and I have also used them regularly for my wife's car. Excellent again and they are not as expensive as GG.

Cheers, I'll give them a bell ...
