Intermittent Central Locking Problems!

Featured Replies

Just got back from our local dealership which has had my VRS220 to check out a problem with the central locking. After 3days, (and a previous visit for the same problem) they said they couldn't find the fault. I got home, washed the car (putting the wipers in service position) and, up to this point, the central locking was doing what it should.

I then got in the car to return the wipers to normal position. When I withdrew the key from the ignition, the radio continued on and the remote central locking was not working. I switched the radio off manually and locked the car using the key in the drivers door handle ( the cover has been off for several weeks because of this intermittent fault). The central locking now seems to be working OK.

This is driving me (and the dealership no doubt) nuts!

I'm now keeping a log of each journey/central locking problem and hopefully the dealership will be able to sort it out. They said they had discussed it with Skoda technical but it was not something they (Skoda) could shed any light on.

Anybody had any similar experiences?
