Help fitting Thule wingbars

Featured Replies

Hoping someone can help... have bought some Thule wingbars and fittings 754 + 1726 fitting kit but just went to try and fit to my new 245 hatch and noticed there are now two holes in the door frames which you connect to, rather than one on the old mk2. The feet fittings only have a single pin for one hole.  Have I ordered the wrong fitting kit (1726) or can I just select either hole.  Can anyone advise.  Thanks

Just fitted them.  Seems I did have the correct kit after all. Within the pamphlets they provide it shows both holes on each door and your advised to use the inside ones.  Tried and works a treat.  What threw me was a video on YouTube showing the kit being fitted with the feet having two connectors, one for each hole - got me doubting myself :D:D

Yes, you have to use the inner holes. Not sure what the outside ones are used for except confusing you when your brain doesnt work properly any more.
