Retro fit parking sensors for vRS

Featured Replies

Just thought i'd let you know I found an easier way of retro fitting parking sensors to a Fabia vRS. Now Skoda officially dont sell retro fit parking sensors for the vRS as the skirt replaces the black moulding that the sensors normally go into. I know some of you have fitted them anyway but I found the set for the Octavia 2 that i posted up about the other day do the job perfectly and you dont have to remove the bumper either to fit them.

Look pretty good I think (I did paint them to match the car) and work a treat.

maybe a full picture guide? maybe too late?

how much did it cost in total? and how long it take?

So how is it done then?

I could do with some so I don't damage the big v when I'm getting out of spaces you'd normally need a can opener for, thanks to some people

Looks good, any chance you could get a better pic Lummox? And as said, what price for the parts, and does it just plug into the fabias wiring? Or is it a job for a spark?

Cheers

It's easy to fit, even I can do it. Though I've done it to a non-vRS. Same idea though...

The above kit is different to the Fabia + Octavia 1 parking sensors, its actually easier to fit. It just picks a live up off the reverse light and earths out locally.

If someone wants to have some done i'd be more than happy to fit them for them and we can do a 'how to' whilst doing them.

For prices ask your dealer as they may vary depending on labour rate etc.

*goes and finds camera* :)

:rubchin: I'll ask the big V if she fancies a trip up country, I can guess what the answer will be ;)

That is a four sensor kit too, the normal Fabia retrofit is a 3 sensor kit, takes a little while to fit as the bumper comes off and a fair bit of trim to get the speaker into position. Also AFAIK the genuine Fabia kit can't be painted but the genuine Octy 1 kit can-
