Best VFM VAGCOM VCDS for roomster...

Featured Replies

I want to change some settings which apparently only VCDS will do,

what have you found to be the best value setup that works for this?

The best value would be to find someone local who has VCDS and give them ‘a drink’ for coding the car.

If you are set on getting your own then the link rusty has given you is the cheapest interface.

I bought a Chinese interface and disc on Ebay for about £15. works for me but don't try to update the (Ross tech) programme.

Under the dash, far right hand side. You'll need to remove fuse panel cover to find it.

I have found a friend that has VCDS and I will be able to use it soon. I am aware of the option to set central locking to trigger after 10 mph which i would like to have.

is there a list of options i can mess with around here? i saw a few for fabia.

i would like DRL but there is no switch around the fuse board area I can see(as shown in the owners manual) and i would like the horn to beep when locking and unlocking.

I also want to turn the interior alarm sensor sensitivity right down.

cheers

Got the beep now when locking unlocking and now have auto lock after 10 mph and then auto unlock all doors when key removed from igntion.

went through quite a few options but could not find interior sensors or speedo/tacho sweep or DRL.

Think DRL is a lot more complicated than just access from vagcom.

nothing much else came up as an option as i guess the modules are just not fitted to this car.
