Featured Replies

What d'ya reckon, should I do it? :)

Gonna have a look at a pair of black leather seats from a TT tomorrow.

Quite fancy the challenge of fitting them in the Fabia! :D

Likes these but in black.

Look quite smart but won't they look odd against the rears?

Rears will get a retrim to match

They will take a fair bit of work to fit id expect aswell.

I'd measure it/them up first, it may be possible to fit them with a bit of welding/bolting down though :D

If you go ahead with it, make sure to take some snaps etc

hope you are good at welding up new subframes. very long way from just bolting i am afraid.

I have a cunning plan!;)

You are going to buy an Audi TT body shell complete with leather seats and transfer your Fabia parts to that? :rubchin:

It wont be overly hard, I did it with my last two cars, celica leather seats into a saxo and calibra leather into a corsa, just take your time and be handy with the fabrication, was on the look out for tt seats for my golf butnone ever came up, id say you'll manage it ok, cant wait to see the pics

The TT seats have horizontal runners, similar to that of the Fabia. The only differences are that the bolt hole centres are slightly narrower than the Fabia & the TT seats sit lower to the floorpan.

Both Fabia & TT runners can be unbolted from the seat subframes. If I can fabricate some brackets which connect the Fabia runners to the TT subframes, they should fit!

I'll let you know how I get on.

id say a re trimmed leather fabia seat look far better.

(marks on the backrest are someones attempt at valeting! Will just rub off)

Right then, need to do some measuring & fabricating!

Good luck

how much you buy em for?

re trim is only £200 for front seats!! les hassle better looking IMO. with garantee too!

I think they'll look best as dining chairs in the kitchen - leave them where they are ;)

If the seat bolsters are stiffer than the Fabia's I think it could be a good move. I find the Furby's seats a little soft after the Impreza.

Good luck and take piccies of work in progress....

Interested in seeing how it all turns out as I have CD-changer and amp. under the passenger seat.....

J.

Seats look ace - keep us posted  & good luck :D

now to see the tt dash fitted!!;)

wow some people are far too extreme. why chagne the seats? why change the dash...you have too much time on your hands. it's a piece of metal at the end of the day IMO

good luck tho.

It's a challenge - not one I'd go for probably, but it may just fit & it looks like it will be cheaper than a retrim, although you'd get the whole car rather than 'just' the seats. The seats look like excellent quality though and are probably more supportive than the Fabia seats.

I can't complain about the support of the Furby seats - You can't complain about something which is absent.

Good on yer, trying something different. Hope you pull it off.

I'd love a TT dash in a smoooth Skoda Fun. ;) Or a nice clean Golf Mk2. (Not my 5 door though)

fair play. I think manufacturer will do better job. i leave it to them. also fitting a new dash and seats will dramatically reduce price when coming to sell. and if you want to put old dash back on it will look a bad fit. I thnk £200 pounds for leather on front seats is far worth the money than faffing with something that will look a mess and will spoil the car. what about safety of the new seats? fixings to car infrastructure?

all my opinion.

good luck tho will love to see end results

TT dash will never fit a Fabia.
