Hopefully I'll be sitting in one of those seats soon ;)

I've told you about that.

As mentioned before' date=' the TT seats feel much firmer & the lower bolsters give more support.

I was sad enough to have a sit on one whilst they were on the kitchen floor!:D

Very comfy.

They are heated & I managed to salvage about a foot length of wiring loom. However, I believe the TT seats are controlled by the AC climate unit with a rheostat on the switch. If I can get the control unit & switch to work from a Fabia, then that will be spot on.

This is something I gonna look at later. The first hurdle is to get the seats in![/quote']

There is a post on here somewhere where I have listed all the parts, numbers and prices for heated seat equipment.

How much longer are they than the originals?

]The originals should extend about 10cm extra towards my knees to give proper leg support. And I am only 178 cm tall, with normal, or shortish legs.

Yeah, I remember that Stu. I think I wrote down the part numbers somewhere.

The seats are in!

Had to re-think a fews things as I was assembling the runners to the seat. The TT seat has a strut on the underside for height/rake adjustment. This was interfering with the channels that run the width of the seat. So I had to cut the channels to make little "feet".

There are a few minor adjustments I have to make (seats sit too high at the back at the moment) but I have solutions which will work.

Took about 4 hours per seat to get them fitted & I gonna take pics soon.

They look the dogs!

Are you going to retrim the rears to match?

Yes. Would look a bit odd otherwise!:D

Pic attached. (sorry about the poor quality of the pic :o )

Very Nice!

What about the backs? I spot a glimmer of white in the corner of the shot. :)

edit: WHat are you doing with the old seats? ;)

Just spotted that one :o What about just the fronts? ;) Just the driver's seat?

Jon, perhaps you could start a seat fitting service ;)

Well done nice to see people trying new ideas.

IMO the original seats are not very good.

awesome!

nice pics looks better than I expected. but not for me thanks. the leather has a bad tint to it. are they black or brown?

Nice work.

Rather than retrim your existing rears which would fetch a good price when sold complete with fronts why not get hold of a 2nd hand rear bench from a breakers for retriming?

That's a good idea! Never thought of that one!

Come to think of it, the 9N Polo bench will fit, & don't they have a centre armrest that drops down?

They are black.

Last night, I gave them a good clean with some "Liquid Leather" & then a coat of conditioner & they look spanking now! :D

Hi guys, reviving old thread.  Just bought fabia mk2 yesterday. Find the seats uncomfortable. Have TT mk1 too and possibly getting spare tt mk1 seats. Any guidance/tips on fitting would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome. Worth posting in the Fabia MK2 section.
