Will my car now go up in value?

Featured Replies

Higher specs trims rarely affect the rate of depreciation, they simply make a car more attractive to prospective purchasers i.e. it's easier to sell rather than generating a higher selling price.

The price will plummet over the next decade, to pocket money prices.

In 20-25 years, it MIGHT start to be a collectors item but by then, most will have moved on to electric cars and oil burners will be a bygone thing. In 40 years, it will be a real collectors item as most will have been destroyed but, hey, are you looking that far in to the future? If so, garage it up NOW!

Yep sticking my Edition in garage now, they don't make them like that anymore! Just need to order quickly new glove box door, new dash board hatch lid and new signal booster!

Why?

My other car has the world's best panoramic sun roof!

Seriously; I'm quite tall at just over 6 foot and don't like the way the head room is reduced even though my heads not touching it. I like the lofty head room of the Yeti and Karoq. Had cars with sun roofs in the past but not a great fan and rarely used them.

Also it's quite an expensive inclusion and I'd rather it was an option with the car price reduced accordingly and I'd spend the saving on something I really wanted.

I was just Interested as I had a nightmare with my yeti roof leaking but have always liked a good glass roof which is one of the reasons I went with the Edition.

I see from the MY19 post that it is planned that the Edition will continue, and if I'm reading it right, without the 150 engines?

I'm assuming that they will use the 190 petrol and diesel engines for the top spec?

So maybe the lower powered Edition models won't perform so well residual wise! :crying:

PS. Yeti went in for a service and MOT today and I was lucky enough to have a Karoq DSG as a courtesy car. Pity it was a diesel, but it gave me the opportunity to have a good test drive.

Also a bit to do with colour sometimes  that bright non metallic BLUE I see that Skoda still uses is known in the trade as DOOMBLUE

Dealer indicated that Skoda may stop the panoramic sun roof as so weighty that it adds to the omissions.  Has anyone looked at a seat recently? As he also indicate that the list of options you get now may now go into packs like seat which are trailing it. I did look at seat and the options were limited to say the least.
