Is non illuminating airbag light an MOT fail now?

Featured Replies

Possibly daft question, just checking before next mot.

airbag light doesn’t illuminate when engine is switched on. It passed ok last year with it. Is it likely to fail due to new mot rules?

Nope.

It's a crazy thing. Airbag light comes on and doesn't go out. Fail.  No airbag fitted when there was one from the factory. (ie aftermarket steering wheel.) Fail.

Airbag light not working at all (blown 'bulb or disabled) so it can't give an indication of a fault. Advisory.

Yes it's absolutely ridiculous.
