Newbie question but what is difference between smoke map and stage 1 map. My vrs has stage one map and goes like a scalded cat but not to much smoke which in my eyes is a good thing. Would I gain much having smoke map

Nothing at all, smokey maps are for braindead idiots, they poison living things, have higher EGT which knackers turbos, use more fuel and are no faster.

its for show, people who like to roll coal. i find it annoying as the back of my car gets covered in black soot and mine isn't even particularly smokey. just a stage 1 with a bit more smoke than id like

Thanks for that. I’m happy mine doesn’t pour smoke out like a steam train. Just wondered if there was any power gain but obviously not lol
