Help, I need to replace my DPF, How to get it out?

Featured Replies

I had the egr valve replaced but the fault caused issues with the dpf due to not going into regen, once the egr valve was replaced the dpf had a forced regen but the ecu would not reset, the  work was carried out at my usual garage (not a main dealer). As they were unable to reset the ecu I booked in to the dealers and they informed me I would need a new dpf at a cost of arround £2000. Having allready spent a fair amount on the egr and timing belt etc I thought im not paying out a further 2k, looking arround I can buy a new dpf for £320 and would have a go at fitting it myself, before purchasing I attempted to remove the existing dpf and have it disconnected and free but I can not wiggle it out of the engine bay, does any one know the best way to remove? through the bottom or out of the top f the engine bay?

Them model is 2.0L vrs estate 2010 engine code CEGA
