Exhaust system ????

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I’m going to go for a large bore down pipe de cat with a cat back Milltek system. I know this will fail mot. But can I just put the original vrs exhaust with cat back on just for the mot then swap back to the de cat

thanks

Honestly no not really.

its a lot of messing about to fit and in my case I needed an angle grinder to seperate the old system.

Also had to drop the axle off the body on one side to get the new one on.

Mine is a 3" Magnex system with a Miltek decat.

I did have the same idea as you but in the end I left it out the front of the garden for the scrap man to take away

I've been told there's 2 cats on the mrk 2 tfsi.

The first one is in the flexy pipe connection fromnthe manifold. Apparently this can be removed and the 2nd one is enough for it to still pass mot?

Can anyone confirm if this is correct?

I was considering fitting this

1 have fabia with full SS system, two resonators, for quietnes, And sports cat after 200 Mike's the warning light on dash came on for oxygen sensor2. Had emmissions checked a was well within limits, but warning light is mot failure. I'd all ready ad car rempped so got the remapper to code out warning light. If you had yours remapped then you can do the same or get someone with vcds to do it. That's how to get round it , but make sure your car is within emission decatted. The sport cat does work but.
