Fabia Alloys

Featured Replies

got new alloys for my fabia on friday, i seem to have been supplied with 4 x green plastic round inserts, no idea what they're for as they're quite thin/small.

all thats marked on them is PA 57.1 - 67.1

any ideas??

Probably spigot rings.

They clip into the centre bore of the alloy so it sits on the hub correctly.

A genuine VAG wheel will have the centre bore machined to the correct size from the factory, where as an aftermarket wheel usually has a multi fit centre bore.

Yep spigot rings - push them into the hole from the inside of the wheel so when you put the wheel onto the hub it doesn't rock about - universal wheels are all like this

[anorak mode on] Plus the 57.1 bit tallies up with this, as VAG wheels have a 57.1mm centre bore. [/anorak mode off] :D

:rofl::D

I got the same things with the same wheels. They go on the alloy inside. The fun bit is when you remove a wheel, sometimes it stays on the hub and you have to get a flat screwdriver to ease the thing off. :D

Don't fit your alloys to the hubs without the spigot rings. This will mean all the weight of the wheels is on the bolts, which isn't good! The weight should be on the spigot / centre hub.
