Looking For A Remap - AMD - Revo

Featured Replies

I'm Interested in getting a Remap for my vehicle Octavia VRS TDI 2016 - Revo or AMD tuning Map.

Can anyone give me any information which one would be better suited for my vehicle.

Out of those 2, Shark is the best option.

Revo and APR get good reviews.

Shark are good, less power but smooth delivery.

Had Revo and Shark on previous cars and both were very good.

Is your car manual or DSG?

If manual, your clutch will need uprating at some stage, but if your careful (and don’t boot it in a high gear from low revs a lot) you might last a fair few thousand miles.

Also don’t rule out some of the smaller tuner companies as well... a lot of them are getting good reviews (not back street lap top merchants by the way)

Know a few near me who have had remaps done by JBS at Chesterfield who do Custom Code with great results as well.

Lots of great companies out there, so don’t be blinkered, but unfortunately there’s also a fair few charlatans as well.

Try superchips bluefin.

I had it on my 2017 vrs, very nice.

Running 2.0tdi Diesel 2016

I’d say shark every time. Reliable smooth power not absolute maximum and break it !!

I have a shark map on my diesel and I’d not go anywhere else now

Also heard good reports of morebhp in Crewe I think they are. Check shark and morebhp Facebook pages, They have had a cupra 280 on today that’s made 350ish and 510nm. Pretty sure shark would get to the same figures too

Have had at least 6 cars mapped at AmD even though they are a good 4 hour drive from me because they always do a top job for a fair price. You can even pay 10% down and the balance over 12 months so that's £50 deposit and £37.49 per month. My only experience with a Skoda diesel mapped by them was on MK3  Octavia 2.0 Tdi SE which gave 147bhp and 246lb/ft as standard and 186bhp and 317lb/ft on their rolling road afterwards. It also did not affect the economy because I could get 70mpg on a long run afterwards whereas 71mpg was possible before. Finally top speed shot up from 135mph when standard to 150mph afterwards. It became a real sleeper on it's standard 16" alloys!

missing word

Will a stage 1 really affect the clutch in a manual?

Has anyone had to replace one?

I've had a few cars with a stage1 before and never had clutch issues.

Was looking at getting my 184 done

Agree never had to replace a clutch on any of my manual remapped cars, having said that I don't partake in the Grands Prix traffic light competition favoured by some with company/hire cars!:wondering:

Well I had my exhaust miltek fitted from them last year, I also had my Leon FR 2.0tdi fitted same exhaust and Remapped had it on for over 5 years before getting rid with 125,000miles no problem with the clutch either

Yeah plan on getting them to fit a Milltex, uprated intercooler and then stage 2 re-map for a bit more noise and fun!:notme:
