SE I executive spec

Featured Replies

Just a couple of odd questions after looking at a new 18 plate superb se I executive estate today.

I thought the spec was keyless ignition?

Do the come with 1 umbrella or 2?! That's the kind of deal breaker for the lady of the house!

Not keyless and it has two umbrellas.

As far as I am aware and from current brochures,  keyless has been added to the SE L Exec specification since I got my model year 2017 car. If the car you looked at has a start/stop button on the steering column where the key would normally go, then it has that feature. Personally, I am glad I don't have it!

Peronally, I am glad I have it. Works like a charm.

Over here KESSY became standard on Style (SEL in the UK?) from MY17 and onwards.

Can't say if KESSY comes with SE in UK. Would probably look stupid again (it is hard to belive but it has happened before .... lots) . I think it is where I live, so there is a good chance that is so in UK too.

But I wanted to say that I absolutely LOVE my KESSY. Would not buy a car without it anymore.

The only thing that I dislike about Superb's KESSY is that rear doors don't have it.

MY18 SEL and no KESSY here.

Also surprised that there's no usb in the arm rest cubby to serve the tablet storage.

At least I have a choice of two umbrellas!

Kessy became standard on UK SEL spec ordered after around March or April this year IIRC

Keyless is now standard. Mine was built March this year without it, but soon afterwards a minor enhancement to the spec, inc. keyless, colour multi func trip computer, front & rear sensors, was made. Slightly gutted as I'd just paid for colour trip and the sensors. Wasn't overly bothered that I'd missed out on keyless. Had it on a previous car and it's not an essential for me.

Have Kessy on our SEAT - works ok'ish but others do it much better.

My previous Renault you just walked away from the car and once out of distance, the car bleeped/locked. With KESSY you have to touch door handle to lock it. And if you have key whilst washing the car, I can't tell you how crazy it drives me when the thing locks/unlocks and wing mirrors start folding when you're just washing the doors :D

So would I have on the Skoda? Yes. It might not be the best system but I definitly miss it. And after some recent trips to the DIY store and an arm full of shopping (because I'm too mean to pay 5p for a plastic carrier bag) an electric tailgte would come in handy too.
