Rear brake cost question

Featured Replies

Not a performance upgrade question.

Would just like to know the going rate for rear brakes and discs for a vRS and if anyone had any recommendations where I could buy them on the cheap.

I have been quoted

I just got my standard issue ATE rear disks for £12 each from Starperformance and a set of fast road pads from them too for £30 IIRC,

I was quoted approx £22 per disk from Skoda and about £25 for a set of pads, so that would be £69 + VAT from Skoda.

:)

try eurocarparts.co.uk:thumbup:

Thanks Chris.

Chris, I assume the vRS is listed under 1.9 TDI "ATD"?

I have also downloaded the PDF brochure from:

http://www.jhmbuttco.com/fabia.pdf

It seems that the "RS" model isn't listed for rear brakes, has anyone ordered from them directly or know if the rear brakes are the same across the Fabia range (discs/pads).

Rear discs are all the same on the Fabia.

But pads are different

If you aren't fussed about fast road stuff go to your local motor factor (Partco, Edmunds Walker, Camberley etc) and ask - they will have a catalogue telling them which ones to order. Or your dealer.

Where did you get the rear pads and discs from in the end Hellfire? I'm after some as well and eurocarparts looks pretty cheap.

Picked mine up from VAG Spares in Gloucester
