does the felly have a magnet of any sort in the oil pan?

No. But any Felicia owner can put one on top of the drain plug when the oil is changed.

Update:

The timing chain job was a success. After carefully setting the valves clearance and ignition timing, the engine is back to its factory performance.

One tip: before installing the new timing chain, make sure the lubrication by splashing hole in the engine block is free. See 6 in illustration below.

So this wear was caused by missing lubrication?

Fun fact: pretensioner was designed in 1968 for "facelift" of Skoda 1100MB. There even were chain covers with space for tensioner, but it was never fitted

and do u know the reason why it never got into production?

I don't know. I haven't seen the car with my own eyes to be able to have a first hand opinion. I am only counting on information fed to me by my friend and the photos he took. I think it was more a bad maintenance thing.

I added that tip just as a precaution or a prerequisite before installing the timing chain.

No, but i would like to know it too. Since new chain covers were already in production, its possible it was political reason (plastic used in tensioner was made by west german company). Or they just found some issue in late phase of development.

Update:

The car got a well-deserved tuneup:

  • lubrication system cleaner followed by new engine oil & filter
  • air filter
  • fuel filter
  • spark plugs & cables
  • carburetor setup
  • ignition timing advance

Now the car flies.

As promised, here is a photo with the guts of the oil filter.

One last update: the timing kit used is from JP GROUP, part number 1112500110. The kit included the timing cover gasket, crankshaft seal.

These are equivalent:

JP GROUP : 1112500110, BUGIAD : BSP21913, VAG : 6U0198026A

It looks like there are other people experiencing the same very late timing chain replacement.
