My new Karoq is in build just now, basically a Motability vehicle being built as dealer stock so easier than to wait for a factory build.  SE spec with the 1.6 diesel engine and the DSG box with no options added.  I have noticed that in the brochure it now says it has front assist radar as standard, has this always been as standard on the SE or is it an MY19 change?

 

Also what does front assist radar do? is it just collision detection and braking or does it do more?

AFAIK front assist has been available across the range from the Karoq's introduction, on the SE I think it is purely for collision mitigation (auto braking) on other models it works with the ACC and traffic jam assist etc.
