Possible intercooler problem

Featured Replies

Hi

My 05 Fabia VRS is not boosting at all there is a cloud of black smoke when you put the accelerator down. Also when accelerating there is like a whosssing noise like air being sucked that’s the only way I can describe it. I more than certain the pipe going into the intercooler shouldn’t be in this position but it won’t stay flush in the intercooler. My engine light is on aswell would this be to do with the intercooler?

Any help please ???

looks like someone has Improved/bodged the end of the pipe --there shouldn't be s a screw there  you will need to pull it off for a better look /replacement  good idea to use new clips too (horseshoe like the other one)

As above.

Also - proper method to get those is in put the clip in , then push the pipe past it (it's really, REALLY difficult at times) and it will click to acknowledge being seated properly.

thanks for the responses. I needed a new intercooler and pipework at the end up.
