Hi, my problem is that when I switch the front screen heater on it switches on for about 1 second, it shows on the display screen it’s switched on but then goes of!!! This is a recent problem been working fine when last used. Rear screen works fine.

I cant work out what fuse/relay controls this?

any help is most welcome.

Hi Superbdreams

thankss for the response.

the battery is new (6mths).

the only major work I’ve had done  in the summer is the pump on the climate system, had a huge problem with the electrics after but now sorted?

Is there a fuse for this?

Owner's manual p. 231 says fuse 28 in the engine compartment fuse panel is for the heated 'screen.

If you're missing the manual you can download the pdf from Skoda's website: Google is your friend here.

What electrical problems did you have during the summer?

When the new pump was installed it wouldn’t function and was diagnosed with a fault. The garage updated it’s software, rediagnosed and identified the problem. Like a fridge now! ❄️❄️❄️

I suppose that’s a possibility, I’ll have to wait a month or two to find out. I did have the battery checked today and it’s on the way out! The alternator is ok! I though I’d changed it (the battery) earlier in the year but it was my wife’s car battery I changed, she has a yeti!

Well, tough luck that both of your cars look very similar, so you can mix one with the other as easily as that ... :D
