Retrofitting vRS heated leather seats

Featured Replies

Can anyone help with some advice on retrofitting vRS heated leather seats?

I have purchased a full leather heated seat interior and the climate control heated seat switch (5E0907044N, see image below) but I need some advice on how to connect the seat plugs to the climate control switch. I presume there is a specific loom but I have no idea the part number or how to fit.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The seats are being delivered tomorrow so I should be able to match up the comnectors to the wiring diagram :)

i was toying with getting the alacantra power and heated as a set came up but couldnt justify the price the breaker wanted

Oh Johnny, go try some mate

THEY ARE WORTH IT

First drive of mine was Southampton to Paingnton on the Friday afternoon before an August bank holiday. 6-1/4 Fn hours but, I didn't hurt at all when I got out the car true, I'd made like a bear & stopped by some bushes for a "Tom Tit". Those seats are so.good mate seriously, try some

the vrs seats are the most comfortable anyway but that added luxury would be nice. I have heated leather seats in the kia but never had them on as i found it a bit too hot even on the lowest setting

3 settings on my heated seats but, it's electrical adjustment that makes all the difference especially with the lumbar support

Have heated seats on the Passat (Leather) and Octavia (Alcantara). The problem I find with the VAG setup is they cycle on and off on every setting, there is too much hysteresis on the thermostat.

I had a Ford with climate seats. 5 level heating and 5 level cooling. The 5 heat settings just had constant heat at 5 different levels. A much better system.

I just changed from a Mondeo Titanium X Sport 240ps, with the alacantra five level heating/cooled seats- they were great :)

A bit like the wife's Mini - that has full leather and heated seats.  With the seats on full you could comfortably do a fry up :D

Anyone knows VCDS codding or adaptation to lower seats heating level temperatures. Level 1 is to hot after few minutes.

Don`t say that I can switch it off. Your comment and logic is useless, keep it.

Found possible adaptations in map:

Why there are 6 levels. My button has only 3 levels possible.
