immobiliser fault

mk1 fabia 1.4 classic immobiliser light flashes car won't start but if you hit the dash it does start what's going on some people have said its the dash some say it's the wire that runs to the dash

In your case it is the red-circled joints you need to inspect, and reflow the solder of if they look cracked.

Could also be the immobiliser pick-up coil but I think the joints of this connector are the first thing to check.
