Can you drive around the problem?

 

I've found that enthusiastic use on smaller roads tends to heat it and eventually it'll slip. Also used to slip on the m-way in 5th/6th.... partly that was down to my torque-addiction (stabbing the accelerator suddenly when the overtaking lane in front of me eventually clears).
