Any ideas ? My fabia vrs steering is locked when i start it and releases if i press the accelerator once or twice it dont happen all the time only here and there. Is that because of the battery maybe ?

Does the battery light illuminate when you switch on the ignition, then go out when you start the engine?

@Wazzo - Probably. As above, you need to have the battery light illuminating on initial switch-on, to demonstrate correct connectivity of the alternator control wires, before presuming that the battery isn't holding charge.

Them the lights showing. Also i was using the heaters for like a hour for something and after awile when i turned the car off to eat and when returned it wouldent start again so called rac and during the wait 40minz later i tried starting it and it started. Also when the cars started and i move the steering stationary all the cars lights go dim and then back bright again.

The blue wire that starts up your alternator is broken. Look for the breakage at a two-way plug/socket connection on a bracket hanging off the front of the gearbox. Mend the broken wire and things will start working better.
