Auto Locking of doors (VCDS code possible ?)

Featured Replies

Hello.

Wondering if anyone knows if it’s possible to alter the code to have the doors lock when driving off and then unlock when turning the ignition off ?

my older mk5 golf could do this, but my new Fabia can’t.

its something I wouldn’t mind having enabled.

In the UK the local Skoda garage used to be able to change this setting so maybe check your local Skoda garage. If you bought the car from them they may do it for free since (if I remember correctly) it only takes 5 minutes maximum.

Carista will do this so, presumably, will VCDS and OBD11

Is there an option within the Bolero infotainment system?

See point number 6 ■ as copied from the Bolero Manual.

Opening and closing
› Press the key  Car  → Settings→ Opening and closing.

■ Central locking - Settings for opening and closing of doors
■ Door unlocking: - Set the door unlocking feature
■ All doors - All doors
■ Single door - Driver's or passenger's door (when unlocking via the sensor
in the passenger door handle)
■ Vehicle side - Doors on the driver or passenger side (when unlocking via
the sensor in the passenger door handle)

■Automatic locking - Activate/deactivate automatic locking when starting
off
■ “Easy Open” - Activation/deactivation of the contactless opening of the
boot lid
■ Acoustic confirmation - Activate/deactivate acoustic signals when locking/
unlocking the vehicle with an anti-theft alarm system
■ Open luggage compart. cover automatically - Enable / disable automatic
reeling of the roll-up cargo cover.

I saw that option in the manual as well, but when I go through the menus on the Bolero, it isn't there.

Maybe it's only available in some countries?

I looked in the menu on the infotainment screen and I only have the options of driver side single door or all doors.

Theres  no options for anything else.

We miss out on so much here in Australia. We don’t get lots of features that are a available in other parts of the world.

Will have to go get a  VCDS cable again soon.

Thanks.

Edit:

Just checked that carista adapter thing.

No mention that it can do the auto locking thing.

Quite a a few other things it can do though.

Added more info.

Checked my car and it is not an option here as well.

But it is in the manual.

Thanks AG Falco
