Keys. Confused AF !

Featured Replies

I have 2 keys for the Skoda Superb V6 3.6. This is a 2010 model.

Key 1 has been used a lot. And I continue to use it. Key 2 is new and I don’t use it at all.

I have changed the Car Setup using the MFD / MFI to unlock all doors etc. This I’ve done using Key 1.

Recently I used Key 2 and the behaviour of the car changed completely.

The driver seat position has gone for a toss. All doors don’t unlock.

Question here is, how do we get Key 2 to do everything Key 1 does.

Thanks,

amit

What does your manual say on setting the keys, as I assume that you have the manual being a 2010 model. Mine does and it is a 2012.

Put key 2 in the ignition and select the preferred settings.

The car recognises which key is being used and reflects the saved settings.

As long as you select the same settings for key 2, as you have for key 1 then they'll match.

What if I unlock the car with Key 1, and insert Key 2 in the ignition?

Will it work?

Why would you do that?

Have you tried this...

The seat and the mirror settings are not getting saved to Key 2.

I tried the instructions in the Manual. Isn’t there a way to just erase data already stored for Key 2?

You're on the wrong page of the manual, you need page 74 and 75...
