I have do the forum reading seems it will be the aerial been into menu and it sees no satellites so have ordered a replacement this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282845322242

Is the Columbus coded ? before i remove it or is it ok to to remove and refit ?

Thanks

Steve

Only if you change it between the cars. Same car = no coding.

I replaced mine with a similar unit last year. No problems whatsoever. Plug & play.

Drefaldwyn

Replacing the OE one isn't that hard either (at least on the estate). Just pop down the headlining at the back and it's one 11 mm nut securing the antenna.

Hi, I think I may be missing the thread here but is this about the in built GPS having a wobbly. The GPS in my Fabia Monte Carlo is showing roads miles away from my actual position.

Cheers

Part arrived today a breeze to fit took radio unit out unplugged the blue sat nav plug and fitted the new one just had to get it near the windscreen as under the dash would only see 2 satellites where as on the dash top it sees 8 or 9 out of 10

Thanks v much Steve.   That sounds ideal. Ill order one through that link you sent. PS How did you get the radio out?

There is a trim around the raido/satnav unit in the Superb that has to be removed to reveal 4 screws holding the unit in unscrew them and the unit pulls out.

But on you Fabia it could be different Im sure if you internnet search it you will find out how to remove it.

On another note don't turn the ignition on as I had disconnected the passenger air bag light on the  trim around the radio which then put the airbag light on :@

got a mate to reset the light
