What Octavia do I have?

Featured Replies

What type do I have?

Skoda Octavia 2007 Elegance.

Is it 1Z or 1U? Where can I seek my answer?

It's part of your chassis number both mark 1 and Mark 2 ran into 2007. A betting man 1Z so the mark 2.

What part of the chassis number? One line says: 1Z334C OCT.LIM DPF ELE

That starts with 1Z ;-)

More specifically, 1Z3 is the hatch/saloon and 1Z5 would be the estate/combi.

Okay! I know we've been over this already, but when did the interior change to the one I have? I can show the picture again :D Ive tried looking at earlier models and noted that the Climatronic is different, the logo under the center vents are different, theres a box in the center etc etc.

1U is a MK1, much like this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Škoda_Octavia#First_generation_(Typ_1U;_1996–2010)

1Z covers all MK2's including both the pre-facelift and facelift models.

pre-FL: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Škoda_Octavia#Second_generation_(Typ_1Z;_2004–2013)

FL: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Škoda_Octavia#Facelift

There are a few different heating panels depending on what's fitted. Examples include manual AC, single zone or dual zone heating. Not sure which logo you mean?

Your car is definitely a pre-FL MK2 ;)

Theres a logo under the "warning triangle" saying Octavia I think! Thanks for clearing this up a 100%!

Now I need to find some way to read my DPF Filter status with my crappy OBDeleven... Should have put my money towards VCDS instead.  £286 for a 3 VIN version here in Sweden...

Erm, are you sure it has a dpf?

I didn't think the PD engine had one unless it was a 4x4 or vRS.

Can obdeleven read measuring blocks?

Pretty sure it has a DPF, even says so 1Z334C OCT.LIM DPF ELE. Says I have a BMM engine aswell. I think it can, I can do long coding aswell. But without any code helper...

I'd skipped over the part of your post ;-)

I think group 68 is ash level:

Okay thanks, will check :) It feels like the car has much better mpg from time to time. This morning I was at 0,7L/mil doing 80km/h.... Feels too high. At the same speeds I get between 0,3-0,5 on my Volvo V50. So I'm trying to rule out constant regenerating.
