Skoda temp and fuel gauges are even not part of the LCD cockpit. Hell, why?

If this means they still work if the LCD screen goes kaput, then it mightn't be the worst thing in the world...?

If LCD goes kaput, the engine temperature and fuel level are my least concerns.

Noticed Sportline now has progressive steering as standard. Has that been an option before and is it any good?

One of the additions for MY19:

  • Variable geared power steering (standard on L&K, Scout, & Sportline)

Is that something that can be turned off (like a sound generator) heard mixed reviews around variable steering.

Signed my deal just before the new brochure came in. Saved a few ££s there and still have a MY19 car! Phew!

To be fair - any orders built since July would usually result in a MY19 car. It's just that it has been particularly difficult to place an order.

Normally, we'd be on to MY19.5 cars about now...

Less turns when maneuvering and more stiff at higher speeds.

Skoda is becoming a premium brand. But wait for the special offers to filter through. When I replace my Roomster, Skoda may not be my first port of call

I see the SportLine seats are now available as a £500 cost option outside of the SportLine, but they're described as being 'leather' rather than the alcantara that they're trimmed with in the SportLine...

The configurator is quite misleading though, they've used an image of the SportLine seats with their diamond / quilted effect (above). When you actually configure them the pattern is the same as the regular seats...

...albeit in the sports seat shape i.e. fixed / one-piece headrest.
