Yes I can feel your pain regarding the new car needing bodywork so soon, it just seems so wrong.

I had considered taking that car to a bodyshop to get the lettering applied because I also want a black grill surround installed plus colour-coded Skoda logo's applied.

And then I thought that it seems silly not to have a go at it myself, and that with care and patience I can surely achieve a good result (not so sure about the grill surround though).

Which lead me to wondering how to apply the letters properly.  So thanks for your feedback.

No probs CBW. It's not like I have money to throw around, but if I tried to do it myself - and stuffed it up - I'd have to take it into a bodyshop anyhoo :worried: Plus the black lettering and badges are Skoda approved parts and, I think, have a warranty. Whatever, I'm happy, the car looks unique with the black roof wrap, badges, letters and wheels and that's pretty much what I was after

Well done GKodi. Your Karoq looks very smart.  Hope you are pleased with how the mag wheels came up in the black.   I think the black really suits the Braga style.

Concur NZPETE - thanks for the tip and the pic of your rig - it sure does look good (to me anyways!), and the other black bits work. Happy motoring around that Long White Cloud country

Thanks GKodi - no long white clouds today, not a cloud in the sky and a balmy 24 deg. Think I'll clean the car ! Enjoy your new motor and travel safely.

With thanks to everyone who advised, commented, suggested, recommended and helped me in my quest for black alloys, badges, lettering, how-to-pay for accessories to the super-skoda people in Europe and other inane questions  I hope you like what I've done, cosmetically, to my Meteor Grey Karoq to 'make it mine'.

It doesn't look overly 'Grey' in the first of the two photos as they were taken whilst that rare thing in the UK (the sun :giggle:) was setting, but I hope you'll [literally] get the picture.

I've also applied a few 'bits' to the interior, but thought that it'd probably be overkill to attach photos of the small silver trim I've applied to the speaker surrounds in the pillars, the same to the air-vents on the dash and the little silver rings around the push-buttons for the head-rests.

I think I'm done

Could you take a close up of a wheel please? Having my Bragas done in a week or so

Best I can do right now Waggy1971! As you can see, they look very different, depending on the light. I'm super-pleased with them on my Karoq. They're quite shiny, but that suits the look of my Meteor Grey Karoq. If I get a chance to take a better resolution shot or two over the coming days, I will, but right now, I'm away until Monday January 7th. Hope yours come up nicely

Great! I am getting my hubs and calipers painted too.. Will post some photos when done... Looks great!

Nice. Choosing a colour was a hard choice. I wish they had all the colours of Karoqs in the flesh to look at before I made that choice.

Black Magic is great, particularly when freshly washed!

ONLY when freshly washed! Dust is a nightmare.

The night masks the dust  . That's why batman only drives the bat mobile out at night.
