In case my country of location confuses I actually have a RHD Octavia, it has a storage tray under the passenger seat accessed by a drop down flap, only found it by accident, the drivers seat does not have one maybe for safety reasons but there seems to be enough space there.

 

If i could fit one to the drivers seat it would be a very handy compartment for the maps that I commonly need to refer to and would be safer than reaching over to the passenger door pocket or the pockets behind the seats.

 

Assuming that its only the passenger seats that have the locker could I fit one from a LHD vehicle to my RHD drivers seat? Any other trim needing to be changed? And does anybody have the part number(s) please.

It also confirmed my hypotheses, made for the left seat on RHD cars and the right seat on LHD cars.

 

I will check the one I have to see if the number corresponds, there is one on Ebay Germany but the delivery puts it out of reach.

IIRC, they don't fit the box under the drivers seat because they are leaving room for an electronics module - it's either an amplifier for the sound system or a bluetooth module.

As you are in France can you not find one in a scrap yard from a LHD car (assuming that they have car scrap yards or vehicle dismantles in France).

I got one for a rhd drivers seat from a dealer 5/6 years ago . IIRC, got the part  numbers on this site and not too expensive,.

You welcome! For me it will be surprise if the dealer's price is the same or lower  But you might check it anyway!

The delivery cost may make the difference.

How difficult is it to fit?

Looking at the fittings on the top of the locker an entire seat need to be remove.
