iPhone is seen but won't connect

I bought my wife a superb estate 2010 last week but it won't allow her to use her iPhone. I have read many articles in here and realise I need to change the bt module to a later model. I have seen that a 3c8035730d would be a straight swop . On eBay it is avaiable for £300. I have noticed other modules with different numbers at a much lower price. Can any of you great folk on here recommend a different module that would work. Thanks for your thoughts Graham.

Yes but the response gave conflicting advise I was asking if anyone has done this as a straight swop some members just gavevoptions but not actually helped me with my question. That's why I asked again.
