  • I surprised myself, I actually managed 15 minutes but now I have to go and lie down in a dark quiet room.   If you were trapped in a lift with him how long could you control yourself before

  • Don't give up the day job can't see Porsche ringing you anytime soon.

  • Taycan SuperCharged )

My Crystal ball view,  Looking to the future potential, as Autocar . Maybe  Super EV SUV to compete with a Lambo EV Suv or a Porsche EV SUV  etc.

Who knows what is coming down the track ,as the development seems so rapid.

Anything is possible with 4 electric motors producing upto 2,000bhp and insane levels of torque. Just a shame about the lack of sound unless artificially generated.:thinking:

I suspect ‘word of mouth’ threatens manufacturers like PSA who seem reluctant to dive in and compete for first choice status.

Trailing along and accepting components from outsiders is one way to get second class status.

What the S Koreans are up to with their lack of supply is a mystery also..........unless they see themselves as a major problem.

@Ryeman

What is the word of mouth issue with PSA?

I suspect those who have adapted to an EV will spread the word (Tesla doesn’t spend any money on advertising) and demand will takeoff.

Tavares has said he’s somewhat lukewarm on the idea that there is genuine public demand.........but that’s risky if you are caught out.

This is a high tech industry now and being seen to be trying to catch up will be a serious situation considering  the young and the social media influence.

@Ryeman

Open your eyes and see the light, i take it Australia is not the market interesting TESLA.

I suspect that TESLA is spending many millions even billions having TESLA placements / influencers on Social Media and have spent millions in the past in the usual Advertising ways.

When you don’t go into the deep dive on Tesla technology it’s usually signalled by references to ‘fan boys’.....it’s easy work.

Is it really a big issue if some mainstream manufacturers are behind the curve in getting affordable ev's to the market place. At the end of the day we're are reliant on the politicians getting local authority councils to directly or indirectly provide enough suitable charging points for everyone to use. Manufacturers will soon rattle out competitive products when enough of a competitive market is there for them to sell in. The cutthroat demand just isn't there yet.

The Koreans have much more demand than they can or are prepared to meet.

You simply can’t get one in Australia inside promises of many months.

I suspect they fear potential damage to their production line ICE assets when the word-of-mouth takes over from the merchants of range fear.

The alternative belief is that the ID.3 will sit around due to not enough interest............if only!

What do legacy car manufacturers actually make? What do they specialise in?

The reason for no new mass market car manufacturers over the last 5 decades was due to high barrier to entry into ICE manufacturing. EV's break that. So it's in legacy manufacturers' best interest to slow this adoption.

Hopefully VW is different, where they want to realign their brand due to dieselgate.

Of course, having said above. I've read news that Chinese second hand dealers only want Tesla, they turn away any other EV. So not all EV's are made equal, it's clear battery is the new frontier.

They are the existing ICE manufacturers facing extinction if they aren’t leaders in the technical age.

They start off as followers of the most advanced EV manufacturer.  Luckily Tesla isn’t into the Golf category.....yet.

Xi knows who the leader is in energy efficiency.

Is the Thai Red Curry hotter?

Porsche ordering on the Traffic Light System.

Thai Green has a build date.  Red is too late to change your order.
