Operating the windows with the key fob

Featured Replies

I picked up my new 2016 Yeti last week had a good read through the manual. It’s supposed to have an option to open or close the windows via the remote key fob, but if I push and hold the lock or unlock buttons they don’t do it. I’ve looked in the MFD to see if the settings are right - am I missing something?

This reportedly won’t work if one of the windows closing position needs to be reset. Can’t recall how to do this and when I searched on here there were thousands of posts but I couldn’t find the relevant ones. One of my own windows was bouncing open this morning so I need to reset that one

Thanks for the response. I’ll get the dealer to have a look when I take it in to have Smartlink activated.

Hi Beena and welcome to Briskoda.

As Ken has suggested, one of the windows has lost its "one-touch" facility.  One-touch is the facility to fully close the window by lifting and releasing the switch once.

To reset the one-touch facility, fully close the window and release the switch. Then lift and hold up the switch for a further 3 to 5 seconds.

Thanks for the advice. I just went and tried all of the windows and they seemed to be working with the one touch facility. I did as you said anyway and held them for a few seconds and tried it.  I think I may have been expecting it to do it more quickly than it does, as I unlocked with the remote and held it for a few seconds and they still didn’t open. So I did it again and held it for about five seconds and low and behold - down they went :) Same with locking and them going up. I as expecting it to happen after a couple of seconds. Anyway - problem solved.

Easy way to test is the lock button on the centre console, holding open will open all the windows and the sunroof if it's an L&K. Holding lock will close them. If it doesn't work you have a window that needs a reset.

Good to know. Thanks :)
