Hi can any one help me out, I have a Skoda VRS 2010 it had the basic radio in it, so I upgraded it to the  skoda Columbus sat-nav radio its been working fine for a over a year with out any problems,

I started the car up this morn and it just flashes up system starting and does not start up ? as the radio never came with this car, it does not show up on the update site so cannot use this, I have a software update cd that worked fine about 3 months ago, but when I put the cd in its now saying SWL cd detected invalid clamp state (asking to change the time n date) but because it will not turn on , I cannot do this.

I have tried the force reset 3 buttons on the top of the unit , flashes and goes to start back up on to say system starting again

any ideas how I can sort this out with out paying a fortune at the dealers..

thanks you got a rough idea of the cost if I come to you

Software and maps reinstall (if that's all it needs) is £35. After that if it's hardware then we'll need to see what the issue is. Although the part in bold in the post gives me some cause for concern.
