High Beam Assistance doesn't work, got error code

Featured Replies

Many thanks to all the contributors to this thread!

My High Beam Assist stopped working some months ago. Finally got around to doing something about it and bought a s/h unit from a scrapyard for £40 (on eBay - part number 5G0857511D).

I have an OBD11, but didn't need to change or modify any coding (original mirror long code was the same as the new, same as shown in posts above), just plugged in the new one and it is working perfectly.

  • If it's possible, it'll be a pretty obvious adaption channel in either 20 or A5 depending on the camera fitted.   Just to point out, not all modules will allow this change so if there isn't

  • Everyone uses OBD2   Assuming you mean OBDeleven then you might want to ask the developer for help.

  • I have managed to code HBA with VCDS but how do I adjust the speed it turns on and off. I live on a dark windy road and need them to come on earlier that the speed they do it is for a Skoda Superb Mki
