Clutch issue and blinking PRNDS

Featured Replies

Hello All,  my OCTAVIA 2009 MK2

1.8TSI 7spd has done 118750Km. Done all the recalls DQ200 change done. Recently, past 2 weeks i have issue  with grear transmission. Every morning i reverse my car and select “D” normally i goes straight to D1. But  Blinking “D” and what ever gear i select its blinking. No power to drive.

Soon if i turn off/on ignition it gets to D1 and i can drive as usual for rest of my drive. Normally its okay till next Day morning.

Local mechanic VCDS error code :

006012 - clutch 2

P177C -003-Tolerance limit reached -intermittent

006298- clutch 1

P189A -000 -Clearance too Small

my mechanic told clutch replacement is necessary ~3500 AU$. If i replace new clutch this will it work reliably? The car drives well i like it!  But i get ****ed off with this highly reliabilty issue. I have to take it to Skoda service centre and see what they will say. I understand clutch is a wear n tear thing. But i not sure spending 4k is worth while. Im thinking to Complain skoda and ask for a good will change. Has anyone faced this issue? Please add your comments

Regards,

Pat
