1) Has anyone checked to see if as standard all 5 tyres on a new vehicle are of the same manufacturer and grade? Just discovered I had 4 Pirelli P7s and a lower spec Continental as a spare.

2) Replacing 2 front P7s at 28k miles for same. Garage fitted them inside out (Faces). Now paying price as this has caused endless warning symbols to activate. Refitted tyres - no warning symbols!!!?.

You’ll probably find the Continental spare is a space saver and a different size from the standard wheels.

Im sorry but it's a fairly poor fitter / garage that fits tyres incorrectly!

 

What waning symbols were you getting?  You may have got tyre pressure warnings if you vehicle has the sensors and the system hadn't been reset.

Yes I believe it is. The size difference made me ask the question.

Yes agree, an unsupervised apprentice?

Numerous lights, usually starts with tyre pressure, then turning lights, various braking & parking assist. Lane assist, blind spot, and others in various combinations. Since tyre refit clear of warning lights? So far. Skoda dealer did replace the switch assembly around gear stick (near £300) no goodwill payment from factory though and 3 days out of warrenty.

@SteveNatcott was the gear lever fix this error?

 

If so, this is a known error and should have been paid for by Skoda, or at least you should have had a contribution from them.
