Anyone use cable for TV, phone and broadband?

Featured Replies

We use cable for phone and broadband. I can't remember how much it is off the top of my head but it is a lot cheaper than when we were using BT for just our phone. Most of the charges were going to them for line rental, VAT etc because we use our mobiles.

Our Island cable company uses BT across the solent as far as I know. We've never had any problems :)

We have phone, cable and internet all from NTL. Got a free upgrade from 1mb to 2mb a while ago and 10mb is now on offer (another

im on telewest broardband. you can upgrade the modem by re flashing the memory in the modem. then it runs very very fast ie vrs not 1.4i speed. 3 figure mps, you cant do that with bt.

I am currently on ntl phone, broadband and tv, but my sky plus arrives next month so ntl tv is going going gone.

Sky with sky + for the same channel packages works out cheaper then ntl tv. Threy offered to price match, but I pointed out that I can pause, rewind and record too.

I will keep the ntl phone and will NEVER have a bt phone line. My bt line was truly awful. Such a poor quality line that when I phoned to cancel they couldnt hear me properly. NTL phone line is crystal clear all the time.

I use NTL for broadband too. On the 10mb package for £34.99

Once my contractual obligation to have the sky box plugged into a phone line has gone (have to for the first year) I will be switching to an ip phone. My NTL line cost £10.50 a month plus calls. A freetalk phone that plugs into the broadband router costs £6.99 a month and all uk calls are free. Should save some money in the long run. Hopefully they will find a way to make the sky box work through it and the day that happens I will be calling ntl to cancel.

In regards to sales calls. I dont get any on my ntl line. I registered with the telephone preference service and its unlawful for a company to call me to sell me something.
